THE FUNCTION OF SLIP RINGS

Slip rings are electromechanical components, providing a method of transmitting electrical signals and power across a rotating interface. Typical applications include radar, tracking antennas, gryo-rate-tables, centrifuges, industrial and medical equipment, airborne gyrostabilized camera systems, pan and tilt camera systems, manufacturing machinery, and special instrumentation systems, such as strain gauge and thermocouple circuits.

CAPABILITIES

Founded in 1960, Fabricast has extensive experience in slip ring and brush block design and manufacturing. We utilize the latest CNC machinery and CAD/CAM technology to design and manufacture cylindrical slip rings including self contained and separate rotor & brush block slip rings. On our stock slip ring units, we utilize coin silver rings and silver graphite brushes due to their high reliability, long life, and low noise qualities.

CUSTOM DESIGNS

Although Fabricast places considerable emphasis on its line of stock slip rings, there have always been and will continue to be many applications which require custom slip rings.

Since Fabricast was founded in 1960, a portion of our business has always been the design and manufacture of high quality custom slip rings. Because many custom slip rings are designed around standard tooling you will find our cost and delivery extremely competitive. We can be contacted by phone, fax, E-mail or by using either of the two forms included in the website (Request For More Information or Request For Quote form).
